I founded Porch Light to give mothers a reliable, vetted network of caregivers they can trust. Our mission is simple: every family deserves peace of mind, knowing their children are in the hands of trustworthy, professional sitters.

This mission is personal to me. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Alabama, where I studied Human Development and Family Studies — a field dedicated to understanding how children grow, how families function, and what kids need to thrive. That academic foundation, paired with my hands-on experience working at a day school, shapes how I think about caregiving: not just as a service, but as a relationship built on trust, consistency, and genuine care for a child's wellbeing.

Growing up in Mountain Brook and graduating from Mountain Brook High School, I saw firsthand how much peace of mind comes from having people in your corner you can truly rely on — neighbors, teachers, and caregivers who know your family and care about your kids as if they were their own. That's the standard I hold Porch Light to: every sitter in our network is someone I'd trust with my own family.
